Bronx is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Bronx peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Beautiful public garden hidden at the edge of New York City. Perfect for a day trip. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and genuinely care about the space. Bathrooms are abundant and clean. Gift shop is cute and reasonably priced, offering a variety of knick-knacks, honeys and jams.

It was a very hot day, however we were able to find some refuge under some trees. The picture opportunities are amazing. It is very well maintained. Highly recommend taking the trek to see. We took the bus from Manhattan.

Well never having been here but having crossed its path online for a list of places to take your kids I'd been circling it for months......finally had a chance to run over here today and it did not disappoint.....will take a few visits to really immerse myself in its history and to expand on my experience but one of the great ones NYC and long Island area.......I'll put it on there with my favorites like the NY Botanical Gardens, Sands Point, Planting Fields Arboretum and there are a few others further out on the island but definitely get out and check them all out..... definitely enhance your life by visiting each a few times per year in your search to live a more fulfilled life ...this place nailed it ... People in Riverdale have apparently been hiding out forever in the beauty of the river ....and I can see why.....please do go check it out.....be ready for some moderate to slightly harder walking depending on your health but plenty to experience even if you aren't extremely mobile. Incredible fauna, views and structures including the main house.....I'll be back soon!!!!

We enjoyed all of our visits to Wave hill gardens. The landscape is great. It was all sorts of Native and rare flowers on display. There is a green house for rare plants that I found fascinating. There is also a restaurant where you can take a break from all the walking and have a bite to eat. There is a entry fee and you can pay for parking or find a free street parking for yourself.

An absolute dream and hidden gem! I went Tuesday around 130pm. Quiet, clean and gorgeous. Took photos and it was perfect weather. Shout out to the pleasant young people (Jerome from Jamaica lol and Angela) at the front check in who were very pleasant and helped me navigate the garden :)
